~The Spirit of Christmas, Every Day~

The closing of another annum is drawing near.
Christmas day, now over for another year.
Presents are all unwrapped, unboxed and put away.
Yet, let's cherish the remaining festivities...
Togetherness, the left over turkey
and twinkling light displays.

Let's remember, the message of Christmas
and how it teaches us to be.
Which in essence, is more valuable...
than any gift left underneath the tree.

To spread goodwill, kindness and peace.
Share in moments of joy and cheer.
Provide comfort, help others strife and worries ease.
Keep gratitude in our hearts, for memories held dear.

Be a beacon of strength and hope.
Show support and belief in others.
Not just at Christmas, but the whole year through.
Also, remember to fill our cups sometimes.
For, we can't run on empty
show kindness to ourselves' too!

Let's carry that Spirit of Christmas with us.
Inside our hearts, each day, in all we do.
Provide compassion to those in need.
With a loving and giving heart so true.

Walk beside those struggling, so they never feel alone.
For love is everywhere, it surrounds us.
If we look for the 'glimmers'...
We'll see where it is shown.

Because, the Spirit of Christmas.
Like a gentle whisper, it always surrounds.
It's inside each of us, a love that ever lasts.
And in each and every day of the year…

It can also be found.
