Baystone Bank Farm Campsite is a small family run site located on a farm in the south west Lake District National Park with Cumbrian Heavy Horses riding centre next door, many of whom use the site!
We are looking for a friendly, versatile, active and enthusiastic individual or couple with excellent customer care and communication skills to join the team for this season, 2026.
Although small we are diverse, we have hard standings for caravans/ motorhomes, bell tents, lodges, EHU pitches and camping both with and without vehicles. Facilities include a small shop and, in development, a small bar and take away.
The site boasts a stream to play in and open spaces within the campsite for children, easy access to the beach, with walks into the surrounding hills and easy access into the Lakes.
Our amenities are good, showers, toilets, washing up area, info boards.
This is a full or part-time self employed seasonal position - starting asap April/May 2026 and finishing in autumn by open discussion. The EHU and Lodges have been booking up well, this could develop into a longer term position.
We have a wonderful live in self employed Warden atm, however the site requires someone with marketing/ social media/ booking systems knowledge as well as hands on roles, too!
Duties are many and varied but will include checking folk in (using our online system which we can show you), being available for reception, cleaning of facilities/emptying bins/checking fridges - the usual!- and accommodations, most maintenance painting and decorating is usually covered, grass cutting, weeding, putting up/setting up bell tents, checking everyone is at peace (quiet!) at night! No experience is necessary as we are happy to show you the ropes but you must be honest, professional, be polite, cheerful, reliable, enthusiastic, love the area and helpful. The ability to work on your own or as part of a team is essential, as we are a tight team, supporting each other with open communication so everyone is happy and enjoys their time here.
We have a lovely four berth caravan or own pItch provided with hard standing, car parking and electric - to be discussed.
