We are lucky to have a beautiful stretch of the England Coast Path right on our doorstep. The clifftop route between Haverigg, Silecroft and Gutterby - completed in 2022 - offers sweeping views of both the fells and the coastline, with the Isle of Man over the horizon on a clear day. It's a different perspective of The Lakes… and often without the crowds.

Just a 4-minute drive from The Wayside, Silecroft is a perfect starting point to explore this quieter side of the Lake District - with an added bonus with a café stop after the walk.☕🍨

💃Frills and frills!
Some of the daffodils begin to droop in the rain, so we rescue them before they fall. And voilà - gorgeous spring bouquets!😍 We love those delicate frills.

We’ve been enjoying watching the Winter Olympics, but our highlight so far had to be the friendly dog who stole the show during the cross-country qualification!

Even better when it turns out Rocket (aka Nazgul) is actually related to our very own Sasha🐺 (.thewolfdog). They are something like second cousins… keeping it in the family of four-legged scene-stealers.😂

As owners of two dogs, we’re always happy to welcome well-behaved dogs. Adventures are even better when shared with your four-legged family member.
