Higher holiday fuel costs cause anxiety. So, how much more could you spend on a UK-based family holiday? How much more reassuring is it to secure dependable family enjoyment? How much easier would it be to coordinate or share a larger holiday home with family or friends?

Media headlines are screeching: “Risk To Fuel Supplies”, “Airfare Surcharges Coming Next”, “[Jet] Fuel-Free UK-Breaks Are The Safer Bet”! We’re told families are rethinking summer holiday plans, opting more for staycations and seeking out destinations [and prices] they can rely on.

Occasionally, we’ll wave our proverbial arms to catch your attention about making the most of what’s on your doorstep. If you’re considering safer choices of staying within the UK, your family is unlikely to be too sniffy about close access to diverse activities such as: golf, spa treatments, archery, quad-bike/e-bike/horseback riding, watersports or clay-pigeon shooting.

Even though overseas trips have unfortunately become risky, we’re here to recommend locking in the best multi-family breaks as soon as possible. Ultra-private, 7-bedroom, stunning large garden villas such as Pleasant Hill Scotland have limited availability left for August. More than 3500 other guests have already stayed here, and you can hopefully get plenty of reassurance from reading literally hundreds of 5* reviews to validate this!

True hospitality is about removing barriers, not just opening doors, right?
Having welcomed two guest groups this year who needed a specialised hospital ‘profile’ bed for their stay, we looked into rental costs. The quote came back at £250 … for just a few days! 😱

That was a turning point for us. Instead of quick fix via a rental company, we decided to make a permanent investment and bought a premium, fully adjustable profile bed to add to Pleasant Hill Scotland’s permanent amenities.
We believe that planning a large family gathering shouldn’t come with extra stress or hidden logistics just to ensure a loved one is comfortable and safe. By investing in dedicated accessibility features, including wheelchair ramps, grip rails and accessible bathroom facilities, we want to make it as seamless as possible for multi-generational families and friends to gather together under one roof.

From young children discovering the treehouse to grandparents getting a flawless night’s rest, everyone has a welcome place here. We are continually updating with modern conveniences to ensure Pleasant Hill Scotland is welcoming for everyone. It’s rare to find a place big enough for 25 people, where nobody has to compromise on space or numbers.

Imagine pulling up the drive knowing there’s a corner for everyone at Pleasant Hill Scotland. Inside, the group gathers around the cathedral-ceiling Reception room while dinner bubbles in the open-plan kitchen. Outside, the mature 1½-acre gardens come alive with games of boules, footballs kickabouts on the lawn and children exploring the private treehouse or bouncing on the 14’ trampoline.

As evening settles over the hills, everyone gravitates toward the terrace to watch the sunset views from the steaming 7-person hot tub.
With 2,400 sq ft of space, 6 family bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it’s an estate built for morning chaos, slow afternoons and late-night storytelling. High-speed Wi-Fi keeps you connected, while the grounds keep everyone entertained.
Bring everyone together under one roof. No compromises. Just time well spent, joyous sounds and memories well banked.
