Shoot Report
11th October 2026
Once again the weather gods were smiling down on us here at Lodge Farm, sunny with very little wind so no excuses about the wind blowing your clay off course. Darren had made a few changes to the lay outs especially the bottom one, the one over the top of the trees and the rabbit. He’d moved the shooting point/cage to the right so that the sun would not be in your face (isn’t that nice of him) when you shot it, he also moved the rabbit so it was kind of quartering towards you. As usual I didn’t get a chance to check out the shoot for myself but judging by the feedback from shooters after they had finished it was an enjoyable shoot with some interesting targets. As for the scores, don’t forget these are the only cards I saw, well either Darren’s getting soft or your all getting better shots, I believe the latter, the average score seemed to be in the mid to high fifties with a few more in the sixties. Once again a big thanks to Simon.S for taking the time to snap you guys in action. See you back here on the 25th October, until then take care, TC.

Shoot Report
27th September 2026
Not a bad morning, overcast with a slight wind. Darren had set up all the traps/stands but was not quite happy with them because the wind had picked up slightly so he decided to go back out and give them a little tweak. This was fine for the first half hour then the wind got a bit stronger, it wasn’t going to blow you of your feet but it did make a difference to the flight of the clays. So if you want you can use that as an excuse for missing the odd clay or two. It is good to see that the club house is being used more often, I think the main reason being Jamie’s sausage and bacon baps, very tasty. Scores; I only spoke to a few shooters after they had finished and it seems like the average score was around the 50 mark and yes the wind was used as an excuse, not to worry it’s only a bit of fun. Shoot Report
13th September 2026
On the last shoot report I said it was the shortest report I had done well this one is even shorter. Attendance was down but I put that down to the weather forecast; rain, cloudy and lightning WRONG! it was a lovely morning yes it was overcast and a bit muggy but apart from that it was fine. I managed to chat with a few shooters after they had finished and were relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee. They all had a good shoot and enjoyed the layouts (70 bird not a 72) and it would seem 56 was the average score, even Colin with his .410 hit 56, well shot mate. Hope you all had a good shoot and we will see you back here on the 27th September, until then take care, TC.
