There really is no greater compliment than welcoming guests back for a second (or third!) stay. Knowing that someone chooses to return to Ellicombe Manor means the world to us.

This week, some lovely returning guests surprised us with these beautiful yellow roses as a thank you. I was genuinely touched.

Running a small, family business means your heart is wrapped up in it. We pour ourselves into creating somewhere people can slow down, breathe a little deeper, and fall in love with this beautiful corner of Somerset. We don’t always get everything right, and we know we can’t please everyone. Sometimes criticism can sting, particularly when it’s about things beyond your control.

Then, every now and again, a gesture like this comes along and completely restores your faith.

It reminds us just how lucky we are to call Ellicombe home, and what a privilege it is to share it with people who appreciate the slower pace of life, the beauty of Somerset, and everything that makes this place so special.
