Hotel Assistant Manager
This position would ideally suit a candidate moving into a management role, we are happy to offer training and support to the right candidate.
The position is in the village of Simonsbath within Exmoor National Park
Job Purpose
To work as part of the Simonsbath House Team, undertaking the day to day responsibility for Simonsbath House Hotel under the guidance of the Manager/Director. To assume overall responsibility in the absence of the Manager/Directors.
Simonsbath House is set in the splendour of the Barle Valley, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within Exmoor National Park. Simonsbath House has 3 areas of business, the hotel’s 10 bedrooms, 3 self catering cottages and the Outdoor Centre for groups taking part in outdoor and environmental activities.
Terms & Conditions:
Permanent contract (3-month review and 6-month probationary period)
Salary dependant on experience & qualifications. Accommodation can be provided in the short term whilst establishing yourself in the area.
Shift pattern may typically be: 8am - 4pm or 2pm - 10pm
Salary based on 35hrs per week, Salary range £27,300 - £30.940
Contract start: May 2026
Additional hours may be required during busy periods and time off in lieu will be given for additional hours worked.
22 days holiday per annum, (plus bank holidays) rising by 1 day each continuous year of service to a max 25.
