The Porthmadog area is encircled by mountains and sea, and is a picturesque gateway to Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula, (Pen Llyn).There are many safe and spectacular beaches close by, including Black Rock Sands, Borth-y-Gest, Pwllheli, Abersoch, Harlech and Aberdovey, all of which cater for safe swimming and sun-bathing, with outstanding views. There are Castles too: Harlech, Criccieth, Caernarfon, Dolwyddelan, Dolbadarn, and many, many more. The counties of Gwynedd, Conwy and the old Merioneth are here for you to enjoy.
