⚠️ Important Notice – RAF Valley Families Day | Friday 7 August ⚠️

RAF Valley will be hosting its annual Families Day on the afternoon of Friday 7 August. This is a ticket-only event, with entry strictly limited to Whole Force personnel serving at RAF Valley and their invited families.

We kindly ask all aviation enthusiasts and visitors to help us ensure the event is safe and enjoyable by respecting the following:

✈️ Please do not park irresponsibly on public roads or in surrounding areas.
🚒 Do not obstruct emergency service crash gates or access routes at any time.
🚧 Do not spectate within the designated display safety area, including the location commonly known as Fraggle Rock.
🚗 Please note that the Spotters’ Car Park will be closed for the duration of the event.

Your cooperation helps ensure the safety of our personnel, families, visitors and the local community. We greatly appreciate your understanding, continued support and respect for these temporary arrangements.

A short 15 minute walk from Tyn Y Berth is The Kinmel Arms a dog friendly pub situated in the heart of Moelfre facing the pebble beach. A great place to start, end or stop off at, on your coastal path walk!

Tyn Y Berth is a three bedroom holiday cottage on the beautiful island of Anglesey, Ynys Môn. Overlooking the sea with panoramic views from nearby Moelfre, across to Penmon and the Welsh Mountains. The cottage has a hot tub to relax in and is a ten minute walk to the local pub and beaches.

A good friend of ours has asked if we and others would sign a petition to have Su***de Prevention Barriers installed on both The Britannia Bridge and The Menai Suspension Bridge, which connect the Island of Anglesey, Ynys Môn to the mainland of Wales.

Statistics show that erecting physical barriers on bridges can reduce su***de rates by up to 86%, according to a study published in The British Journal of Psychiatry. These barriers serve as a psychological, as well as a physical deterrent, buying crucial time for those experiencing crisis and allowing opportunities for rescue and intervention.
