Well folks, as some of you possibly already know, after nearly 9 years in this lovely wee town of Moffat, we are moving on to a new challenge while we still can.
We have made lifelong friends here who we will keep in touch with and pop back to visit.
Thank you all for making us so welcome 😊

But, as of the 14th of February, we are moving back down to Yorkshire to take over a café in Bedale and to be a bit nearer to family again.

The B&B has certainly kept us busy while we've been here, but it's time for a new lease of life and new ideas for it when we leave.
We just have to thank the many guests we have hosted. Many of whom are also now good friends.

Watch out for updates as things progress.
All exciting and scary in equal amounts, and that's just being married to Dawn 😁

Well folks, that's us officially on the market and up for sale.
After 8 years, we fancy a shot at doing something else.
Obviously we don't know how long we will take to sell, it could be a month, 6 months or a year 🤷‍♂️
But until we do, we're still open for business.
Hopefully someone will see the potential and take it on as a going concern.
We will update with news as we go. 😊

A sad day today as we said goodbye to our cat and family member of 20 years.
Smokey Joe, AKA "the Well Street Cat" had been poorly for a few weeks but finally gave in today.

He'll be very much missed and Daisy the dog is already wondering where her snuggle buddy has gone 😔.

People may say he was "only" a cat. But they are always so much more than that.
Loved by many of our guests and friends alike.
RIP Smokey. Sleep tight. 🐈‍⬛🐺

When we took over No29 in 2017, we weren't aware that change of use had never been applied for with the council.
Neither had the previous owners.

So, forward to just over 3 years of hard work in-between guests and a lot of expense to do all of the work required by the Building Warrant, we had a successful completion inspection on Monday by the Building Standards chap and now hold the official Completion Certificate.🎆🎉

Not that you weren't before, but anyone staying with us now can be assured that we now comply to the most up to date regulations for a B&B.
Plus add to that our current Short Term Let Licence and we're pretty much covered 😁

So, to all guests and friends old and new, book with us directly with confidence for your best deals😁
