Quiet progress.

Three pods are now standing, 3-phase electric has been installed, the pathways are almost complete, and Pod Four is ready to be built. Our kitchens and fully glazed fronts have been ordered, branded workwear has arrived, and we’ve begun some exciting new collaborations, with plenty of inspiring meetings ahead.

Behind the scenes, our website is almost ready, and we’re getting closer to opening bookings.

And amongst it all, we’ve made space for family time, summer adventures, and a chance to slow down and reset because creating Keepers Retreat has always been about the journey as much as the destination.

Slowly built. Thoughtfully created.

What a week it’s been here at Keepers Retreat! Some exciting things are taking shape and all hands are on deck to create your retreat.

At Keepers Retreat, we are extremely passionate about incorporating and using local products and producers in all aspects of your retreat.

On a morning like this one, wake up with dolls-kitchen granola sat out overlooking the fields and relax. Liz lovingly produces this beautiful granola just 10 minutes down the road from the retreat.

🌿 Piece by piece, it’s starting to come together. 🌿
 
This week has been all about preparing for the next stage of the build and carefully constructing the first elements that will form our pods.
 
Lots of pieces of wood.
Litres of glue.
Hundreds of screws.

Measurements, adjustments, and long days working side by side as a family.
 
At times it’s felt a little like a giant jigsaw puzzle, slowly taking shape piece by piece.
 
There’s something really special and hugely satisfying about seeing these structures begin to come together on site, knowing they’re being built with such care and attention from the very beginning.
 
So much of this stage is hands-on, repetitive and often unseen, but these are the foundations of what Keepers Retreat will become.
 
Thoughtfully built, carefully considered and created with family at the heart of it all.
