Welcome to all our new arrivals this week, we hope you have a wonderful stay with us!

Just a quick update: we won’t have any food vans on site this week. Not to worry though, JustEat and Deliveroo both deliver straight to the site, so you can still get a takeaway sorted for tea. We’re also surrounded by some brilliant dog friendly pubs if you fancy heading out for a bite instead.

It’s been a touch wetter than the last few weeks, but that’s not all bad news as it means fire pits and BBQs are back on! So get the blankets out, get the fire going, and make the most of those cosy campsite evenings.

The local village pub, the Green Man in Mollington, is open from 5pm today, and from midday tomorrow and Sunday.

Forgotten something? Pop into the shop, we’ve got cold drinks, ice, ice creams and plenty of other holiday essentials to keep you sorted.

Need anything, have a question, or spotted something worth flagging? Head to Reception, or catch one of our wardens as they’re out around the park. As we’re on a working farm, Reception isn’t always staffed. Empty when you get there? Just call the number on the door and someone will be along shortly.

Travelling to or from Europe? Anita’s Campsite makes a handy overnight stop to break up the journey.

We’re in Mollington, Oxfordshire, just off Junction 11 of the M40 and close to Banbury, ideal if you’re heading to or returning from the Channel Tunnel or ferry ports.

Pull in, get settled, stretch your legs and enjoy a proper night’s rest before getting back on the road.

Trade the sofa for a firepit this weekend. There aren’t many warm evenings left this autumn, so let’s not waste them.

Here’s what’s available right now at our glamping and touring site near Banbury, just off the M40:

There’s something about Anita’s in autumn that summer just can’t match. The pods glow warmer against the misty mornings, the sheep and ponies look even more at home in the low golden light, and the site slows right down into something genuinely peaceful. Here’s why we think autumn might be the best time to visit:

1. Fewer crowds, more of the site to yourselves
2. Cosy pod season. Think blankets, fairy lights and wood fired pizza on a crisp evening
3. The animals are just as happy to see you, sheep, ponies and bantam chickens included
4. Nearby dog walks come into their own, The Wharf Inn and The Falcon are made for an autumn afternoon
5. Midweek escapes feel easier when the world’s a little quieter

New neighbour alert 🍰
Just a 5 minute walk from the site, Magic Mixer Cake & Bakes has opened their gorgeous Cake Shed on Orchard Piece in Mollington.

It’s a proper honesty shed setup, stocked with dairy free lemon cake, gluten free cake and brownies, old school cake, brownie bites, cookies and cream cake pots, and vanilla buttercream cake, all freshly baked and beautifully presented. The menu changes every week, so it’s always worth a look.

Open Fridays and Sundays, 10am until 8pm or until they sell out. Cash, card and bank transfer all accepted.

Directions: turn right out of the site, then right into Mollington via The Holloway, past The Green Man pub, then take the second left onto Orchard Piece. Three houses down on the left. What3words: minivans.assist.scaffold

A perfect little detour on your way back from a walk. Support a small local business and treat yourselves while you’re at it💚
