Meet my littlest helper! 🌳❤️

Busy days getting Into the Woods ready for its very first woodland parties, and of course, my little sidekick is never far away!

Whether he's helping, supervising or just making sure Mummy doesn't get a moment's peace, he's been right there for it all. 😂

A lot of love, hard work and a little bit of chaos are going into creating something really special in our woods.

And I wouldn't have it any other way. 🍂✨

The woods are getting their party clothes on… 🌿✨

With autumn-coloured bunting, hanging lanterns and sunshine filtering through the trees, our sheltered party space is coming to life, and I couldn’t resist sharing a little peek with you.

I can already imagine the birthday cake on the table, muddy wellies underneath and excited little explorers gathering together after their woodland adventures. 🥰

🌿✨ WE'VE HAD A LITTLE FACELIFT! ✨🌿

We've been busy behind the scenes giving our website a bit of a refresh, and we're so excited to finally share it with you! 🥰

Not only has Red Sky at Night Campsite had a fresh new look online, but we've also made room for our newest adventure… Into the Woods at Red Sky! 🌳🎈

Our magical woodland birthday parties now have their very own little home on the website, where you can explore everything we have to offer, discover our party packages and extras, and send us a booking enquiry!

🌲 INTO THE WOODS 🌲

Yesterday was all about testing things out… and Chester can officially confirm that the hammocks are good to go! 👍🏼😂

Today, the decorating begins! ✨🎈

We can’t wait to start adding all those little touches that will turn our woodland into a proper birthday adventure — bunting, lanterns, party tables and plenty of magic amongst the trees. 🌿✨

It’s all starting to come together now, and we’re SO excited to see our first little explorers celebrating here very soon! 🥳🌲

We’re so excited to finally say it…

Our woodland parties are now open for bookings! 🎈🌿

Into the Woods is all about giving children the freedom to play, explore and celebrate outdoors. Our parties are self-led, meaning there’s no timetable and no rushing from one organised activity to the next — the woodland is yours to enjoy at your own pace.

🌿 Our standard woodland party includes:

🌿 Are there any local caterers who might be interested in working with us? 🧺

We’re currently creating Into the Woods at Red Sky, a new woodland birthday-party experience at Red Sky at Night Campsite, near Monmouth.

We’d love to team up with a local caterer who could provide optional picnic-style party food for our families—things such as sandwiches, savoury bites, fruit, cakes or child-friendly picnic boxes, with the possibility of adult options too.

The food would be pre-ordered as an optional party add-on, and we’d promote the chosen caterer as our local catering partner. Our parties will initially be fairly small, with a maximum of 12 children but has potential to increase.

🌲 SHELTER: UP! 🙌😂

We won’t be discussing exactly how long it took two supposedly very practical people to put this thing up… 🤦‍♀️😂

Our new woodland shelter is officially up and it’s another big step towards getting Into the Woods at Red Sky ready! 🥳

We’re hoping we’ll be able to keep it up so that it can also provide a lovely covered woodland area for our campers during the camping season too. 🏕️🌿
And, of course, we’re pretty sure Nature Nanny will be very grateful for a little extra shelter for her little explorers during their weekly visits! 🌱🪵🐛

Slowly but surely, our little patch of woodland is coming together… and we’re getting VERY excited to show you what’s next. 👀🌲✨

👑🚁 A VERY ROYAL MORNING AT RED SKY 🚁👑
Well… this might just be the biggest secret we’ve ever had to keep!

For over a week we’ve known that something rather extraordinary was going to happen at Red Sky and yesterday morning, we could finally watch it unfold…

We had the incredible sight of the Royal helicopter landing right here at Red Sky at Night Campsite. 🚁👑

But even more incredibly, we were given the opportunity to meet and chat with HRH The Prince of Wales!
Prince William was genuinely lovely — incredibly warm, down to earth and interested in our little corner of Wales. He chatted to Ben about farming and how the recent weather has affected us, and was brilliant with our boys, asking whether they planned to become farmers before trying to persuade them to become pilots instead! 😂

The whole team involved were wonderful, and it was a real privilege to be able to offer Red Sky as a safe, peaceful and private place to land and gather, away from the public and media. Being trusted with that — and with keeping everything quiet beforehand — was an honour in itself.

For us personally, having the opportunity to meet and chat with Prince William in such relaxed privacy, without the formalities that naturally come with an organised public engagement, was absolutely incredible. It made the whole experience feel so natural and gave us a memory as a family that we’ll never forget. ❤️

Afterwards, we were lucky enough to spend some time with the Royal helicopter before watching it take off again over that beautiful Red Sky view.

And obviously, we couldn’t let something like this happen without marking it somehow…
Pitch 19 — the spot where the Royal helicopter touched down — will now officially be known as:

👑 THE ROYAL PITCH 👑

What an utterly surreal, once-in-a-lifetime day and a very special little piece of Red Sky history. ❤️

We’re not entirely sure how we’re ever going to top this one! 🚁⛺👑
