Monty Castle closed 1st-12th June

Montgomery Castle, along with its car park and all paths, will be FULLY CLOSED from 1st to 12th June inclusive. This is to allow much needed resurfacing work to take place to the car park and path into the monument. Improvements will also be made to the path leading up from Bunners at its top end; the bank will be stabilised and the path widened to make it safer. The Conservation Works Manager will keep us updated as work progresses.

This year’s exhibition focuses on the theme of ‘nature’ showcasing the talents of creative individuals from across Montgomeryshire including pupils from Montgomery Church in Wales primary school 💚💚
Once again the show takes place alongside Monty Lit Fest - for the fifth consecutive year.
Over time, this event has flourished, expanding to encompass a rich tapestry of artistic expression including painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, and photography. It is truly a celebration of community creativity, bringing together all forms of artistic expression.
