Montgomery Castle. Henry lll commenced the building of this stone castle around 1223, during the Civil War it fell to the Parliamentarians and was demolished in 1649. Perched on high rocks above the town it offers expansive views over the Welsh-English border. Follow the road up from Kerry Street to the castle car park if you don’t fancy walking.
