There are some fascinating sessions at Monty Lit Fest this year for those of us interested in the past. Starting with Sally Coulthard's look at the everyday objects which have shaped life in the countryside then David Moore's welcome focus on Ray Howard-Jones, war artist and sea painter who has been neglected by the Establishment.

Those of us who ave been following the recent controversies about the Princes in the Tower will be familiar with Nathen Amin - Author, who has established a considerable reputation for putting fact before opinion and he is coming to talk to us about his much anticipated book on Henry VII and his Welsh roots, putting the founder of the Tudor dynasty in his proper context.

Andrew Hesketh tells a more contemporary and moving story: Gwych Castle may be famed for I'm a Celebrity, but during the War, it was home to 200 Jewish refugee children.
