Welcome to Wild Lion Camping! We are a wild campsite based in the heart of mid Wales on the banks of the river Severn. We welcome families, solo campers, hikers, dogs, camper vans, tents and caravans!
We are situated in the hamlet of Caerhowel and are just behind The Lion Hotel, a lovely family run pub.We are 3 miles away from Montgomery and 7 miles away from Welshpool. We are also just 4 miles away from the Offa’s D**e path.
Our simple but beautiful campsite is family friendly and encourages ball games, swimming in the river, camp fires and people to enjoy the countywide!
We operate yearly with our first dates from 1st May-5th May as this is when we host KAYFEST a festival dedicated to raise as much money as possible for local charity’s. We then re open for the summer from 5th July-22nd of July and then 24th July-4th September. We have plenty of space for caravans, tents and camper vans!
