UPDATE - POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED SINCE THIS POST LAST NIGHT.

We are looking to speak to the group of three women who were in The Anchor, Johnshaven this evening, 30th of September around 6pm, celebrating Arlene’s 50th birthday.

During your visit, you purchased one round of pink gins (ordered by Nicole) and one round of shots.

A black hoodie containing house keys attached to a red Guinness lanyard appears to have been taken from the premises. We are asking for the hoodie and keys to be returned to The Anchor immediately. If returned promptly, no further action will be taken.

If the items are not returned, we have CCTV footage from inside the premises and will pass all relevant information to Police Scotland. We also have details of the vehicle that collected the group from outside the pub, including the registration number, which will also be provided to the police if required.

If this message reaches the individuals concerned, please do the right thing and return the property to The Anchor as soon as possible.

Good evening Shipmates! What an amazing amount we raised together at this year’s Fish Festival - over £1000!! The support, the laughter, the music, the sheer village magic…you made it unforgettable.

Sorry it’s taken a wee moment to update you - Captain Cat took herself off on holiday straight after the festival (needed mind you!) and we’ve been round the fish bowl a few times since getting everything back in order! 🐟

A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who turned up, pitched in, shook buckets, and spread the word. Your time, kindness, and enthusiasm helped push us past that incredible milestone.

And an extra-big shout‑out to The Goats, Shenanigans, and all the other brilliant musicians who filled the pub garden with warmth, music, and that unmistakable Johnshaven welcome. You made the space feel alive from start to finish.

Community spirit at its finest - thank you all 🌊🦞⚓🩵

**IMPORTANT - ACCESSING THE EVENT**

If you can, please use public transport where possible. If you’re taking the car, please adhere to all road signs and stewards and follow their instructions.

Please DO NOT enter Lathallan from the A92, as we operate a one way system and this is the exit route. Entry is by turning into the main entrance road for Johnshaven and following signage and stewards instructions.

ALL parking for the event is at Lathallan School, which you will be directed to upon entering the village. Parking is £5.00 - Cash & £5.50 - Card per vehicle.

Remember, entry to the event itself is FREE, therefore, the car parking is one of our main ways of raising funds.
From Lathallan, it is only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the harbour area. We do provide 2 courtesy mini buses (one is adapted to accommodate a wheelchair/small mobility scooter) transferring you to the village if you’d prefer.These also operate to take you back to the car parking after your visit.

There are designated disabled spaces at Lathallan. These are located next to the courtesy bus stop, These are still charged.

The Goats are making their Fish Festival debut! And they’re bringing Shenanigans & friends with them for a special Shipyard Sessions in the Ship garden this Saturday between 11am and 4pm 🎶🐐

Expect brilliant tunes, village chaos in the best way, and a whole lot of heart as we raise funds to bring The Ship back to life.

Come along, sing along, and help keep this community treasure afloat.

See you in the garden - it’s going to be a cracker. 💙⚓
