🌊🎣 What a Day at Johnshaven Fish Festival!🐟🎉

What a brilliant day yesterday! Our wee village was absolutely buzzing, and we loved being part of it. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, visited our seafood stall, grabbed a drink and supported us and all the local businesses. Your support means so much!

We’re delighted our seafood stall officially SOLD OUT by 2pm!🦞🐟👏 Thank you to everyone who queued, waited patiently and came to see us — we hope you enjoyed it!

A massive shoutout to the Fish Festival organisers, volunteers, local businesses, fishermen, suppliers and everyone who helped make the day such a success. It really does take a village! ⚓️

And finally, our biggest thank you goes to our amazing staff.❤️ They worked their socks off, not just on the day, but through weeks of preparation beforehand and the HUGE clean-up afterwards. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

🎣 Johnshaven Fish Festival is almost here! 🎉

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Anchor Hotel this Saturday, 8th August for one of our favourite days of the year!

Here’s everything we’ve got happening:

🍻 Main Bar
Open 11am – 1am, serving drinks all day and into the night. As always on Fish Festival day, we won’t be serving food downstairs so we can keep up with the crowds enjoying a drink.

🍽️ Restaurant
Our evening service is almost fully booked (thank you!), and lunch will be walk-ins only. If you’re hoping to grab a table during the day, make sure you arrive early!

🍺 Outdoor Bar
Our outside bar will be open 11am – 4pm, serving a great selection of drinks to enjoy while soaking up the festival atmosphere.

🍔 Takeaway Stall
Fancy a bite to eat? Our takeaway stall will be serving food throughout the day and night—perfect if you’re on the go.

🦞 Seafood Gazebo
You’ll find us just across the road with some festival favourites. Fresh, local seafood is what Fish Festival is all about!

🎶 Live Music
Once the festival winds down, keep the celebrations going with live music and a brilliant atmosphere into the evening.

☀️ What a beautiful day in Johnshaven! ☀️

If you're out enjoying the sunshine, why not stop by and join us for lunch, dinner, drinks or coffee? We do have space available for walk-ins today, however as always we'd recommend booking where possible as tables can fill up very quickly and we can't always guarantee availability.

We've also made a few updates to our menus, with some seasonal tweaks and changes for the year ahead, so there's plenty to enjoy whether you're dining in or taking away.

🍴 Summer Takeaway Offer 🍴

Our takeaway menu is currently available with an extra 10% off on top of our usual discounted takeaway prices, making it the perfect excuse to enjoy your favourites at home. This offer will be running until the end of September.

And don't forget, our main dining menu is still available for takeaway too, with our usual 10% takeaway discount continuing as normal.

A quick note for our regular Curry Night customers – we won't be running our curry menu this Thursday, but we'll be sure to let you know when the next one is planned.
