This lady is a flipping unicorn 🦄

It’s not very often you come across people like Katie, let alone get lucky enough to have them step into your team.

Over the last few months, Katie has become an absolute hero in our little team at CampWild HQ. She’s got stuck into everything, taken whatever has been thrown at her and just made things happen.

We’ve been bloody lucky to have her with us this summer.

It was never about the summit...

This was our first CampOut where we hit the high ground.

Based in South Wales, Nant Sere is possibly one of our most underrated Wild Spaces. Surrounded by ancient woodland, hidden waterfalls and open ground, this flipping epic space sits right at the foot of Pen y Fan, the backdrop to the whole weekend.

But this weekend was never really about the summit.

It was about all the little shared moments along the way.

The nerves before getting into cold water for the first time. The buzz afterwards. Breathwork in the woods. Slightly too competitive games. Belly laughs with people you'd only met a few hours earlier. Encouraging each other when things got tough.

And yes, we climbed Pen y Fan too.

But that was only one part of it.

Because that, friends, is the whole purpose of these weekends.

To bring strangers together, share some magical moments, and leave as friends.

The most magical CampWild proposal ✨️

We have heard about some pretty special moments from our community in Wild Spaces, but not surprisingly this tops them all.

Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that in creating CampWild, we would enable memories that last lifetimes, but it was genuinely always the hope.

Just 2 weeks until we head to the Brecon Beacons for The Summit 🏕️⛰️

We’ll be setting up camp at Nant Sere, our Wild Space tucked right beneath Pen y Fan, for a couple of days of hiking, swimming, campfires and generally spending as much time outside as possible.

The big one is, of course, Pen y Fan. But we won’t be taking the usual route up. Kris Gleave will be leading us from Nant Sere, up through the valley and onto the mountain before we make our way to the summit 🥾⛰️

Back at camp, the river snakes its way right through Nant Sere, with deep pools, little waterfalls and plenty of places to paddle and cool off. Kay Lou | Cold Water Educator & Breathwork Coach, UK will be joining us to run guided cold water sessions here too 💧

Then it’s back to camp for the evening — fires, food, games, a few drinks and hopefully a decent sunset followed by a sky full of stars 🔥

Nothing is compulsory. Get stuck into everything, pick and choose, or just hang around camp and enjoy being there.

Come on your own, bring a mate, climb a mountain, jump in some cold water and spend a weekend with a good bunch of people in a pretty special part of Wales 🌿
