Let's go back to basics.

We talk a lot about Wild Spaces, but what actually are they?

Every Wild Space starts with a conversation. It starts with trust, collaboration, and understanding how a space can work for both people and nature. From there, we build everything needed to help someone step into the outdoors with confidence.

At their heart, Wild Spaces are simple. Private spaces in nature that are yours for the evening. A chance to slow down, switch off, connect with the people you're with, and spend a night somewhere a little different.

To us, that's pretty important.

I think this is one of my favourite photos I have ever been sent by a CampWild member.

Alone, Becky arrived at Grove Farm in Saltash, Cornwall & walked the 500m from her car to this several acre hay meadow.

There is not a single person in sight.

In front of Becky is a nature reserve & the tidal shores of the Lynher Estuary & all around her is waist high grasses & wildflowers. For nearly 24 hours she was completely & utterly immersed in this landscape, the wildlife here & the natural world around here.

Nothing built for miles, no noise, no distractions, no neighbours, nothing.

This is the best possible way to go camping & I want everyone to experience this.

It is why we created CampWild & pour our heart & soul into every single day.

So, give it a go. There is a free trial right now, sign up & go camp in meadows, woodlands, on riversides, hilltops & within nature reserves. Go camp with friends, family, little uns, your parents, on your own.

Stay wild,

Tom

Comment 'BOTHY' and we'll send you everything you need to know about these special places ✨️

So, what actually is a bothy?

Traditionally, a bothy is a simple shelter in a remote place, offering refuge from the elements for those exploring the outdoors.

These bothies and shelters offer something incredibly valuable: an easy way to step into nature without needing heaps of kit, experience or planning.

Just a roof overhead. A place to cook a brew. Somewhere to sit back, slow down and let the landscape around you do what it does best.

and the best bit?

You don't need to walk for miles into the hills to find them (of course if you are up for more of an adventure, you can!). In fact, nearly all of the spaces you can pull your car up and park next to it!

From hidden coastal hideaways on the South West Coast Path to hillside shelters, rewilding estates and wildlife rich woodland retreats, these spaces have become some of the most popular stays in the CampWild network and booking up fast for this summer.

πŸ” I Spy... kids being kids.

A weekend of campfires, fossils, muddy trainers and wildlife around every corner.

No organised activities. No screens. Just space to roam, time to explore and the freedom to follow curiosity wherever it led.

Sometimes the best adventures are the simplest ones.

Join the next CampWild Campout πŸ›Άβ›ΊοΈ

On the 20th–21st June, we're heading to The Grove in Cornwall for something a little different.

This time, we're paddling to camp.

We'll load our kit onto paddleboards, follow the Lynher Estuary and make our way to a hidden hay meadow that's only accessible by water.

Over the weekend we'll spend time on the water, gather around the fire, enjoy some camp cooking, get involved in a small conservation project and spend time outdoors with a brilliant group of people.

The Grove sits within an active rewilding project overlooking protected salt marshes, with opportunities to spot everything from curlews and ospreys to the occasional white-tailed eagle.

This isn't about racing or covering huge distances.

It's about slowing down, switching off and sharing a unique adventure with good people.

This is what CampWild Campouts are all about β€” adventure, connection and experiencing wild places properly.
