When Phil discovered his passport needed renewing quite urgently yesterday it was time for a trip to Durham. One hours drive from here and never disappoints. Despite working in Durham in my 20’s I’d never visited the Cathedral so it had to be done - including a mighty trek up the tight spiral staircase to the top of the tower.

A lovely run out to St Mary’s Island today.
My grandparents lived nearby in Seaton Sluice and my sister and I have many fond memories of picnics here when we were children.
We spotted a few grey seals seen on the far side of the island. ♥️ 🦭
