Whilst the reindeer, and herders are all safe, the ongoing wildfire is far from over! 🔥

At the moment we don't have a timeline for when we will be able to reopen, we are guided by the SFRS on this and will be in touch with all bookings accordingly. As always, the main priority is the safety for all the people and animals, but a period of closure during our peak season has a huge effect on a small family run business.

If you can, then we are hugely grateful for any support through our adoption scheme, donations and online shop. 🙏

A wee message from us here at the bakery this morning…

We have had a lot of messages checking that we are all ok…
We are all absolutely fine & appreciate the concern.

It’s been quite a week in The Cairngorms with the ongoing wild fires devastating the area.

Many of our customers & friends have been affected.
It’s heartbreaking to see the impact on our incredibly beautiful area & the worry for the folks involved.

Many of us feel very helpless & wish we could do more to help.

We are here, we are open today.

Meg’s & Al are en-route with morning tea & lunch for the volunteers & emergency service crews at Nethy bridge.

We are giving free coffee to all police, fire crews, emergency service folks & volunteers who may be in need of a wee caffiene hit.

If you have been evacuated & are in need of anything please don’t be a stranger. Even if it’s just a hot drink & a yarn.

A very high wildfire risk is forecast across central highlands, southern and eastern Scotland later this week and into the weekend.

If you're enjoying the warmer weather, please do so responsibly. One spark can start a wildfire that destroys property, wildlife and landscapes.

Stay vigilant, even if a warning is not in place in your area.

Handsome Choc-Ice on the hill yesterday morning!

In 2022 all of our calves were named after different types of Icecream. Along with Choc-Ice we also have Calippo, Cornetto and Magnum (to name just a few). All of those sound pretty appealing just now! 🍦

If you look closely, Choc-Ice is actually sticking his tongue out! 😜
