A wonderful place for rest and recovery. 80 miles form London - but a world apart. At night, you can see very little at all. Switch the lights off and sit in front of the log fire. There's no wifi, although the mobile phone signal is great. Four bedrooms , three bathrooms, Listed Grade 2 cottage, perfect for sleep, rest, and recovery. And there is lots of unfenced garden. Moles, horses, a green woodpecker, puffball mushrooms, damsons and blackberies.

I spent the weekend at the Burnt House Cottage and the evening at the Cratfleld acoustic night. It was stunning. Living in London, I tend to forget what extraordinary talent there is away from the city. Loose Change were brilliant. Travel to see them, book them. Most enjoyable gig in ages.

Burnt House Cottage is looking beautiful. It is a perfect place to retreat from stress. We are planning our own "Christmas" there, probably in August, but before then, there is space for some late bookings. Check us out online - then ask me for a discount. It's the perfect Suffolk holiday cottage - dates form the 15th and 17th century, thatched and peaceful.
