The properties are set in the protected landscape of the Forest of Bowland, a national area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). Roughlee is a delightful hamlet set alongside the gentle stream of Pendle Water and one of three lovely villages sitting at the foot of Pendle Hill. Famous

for the Pendle Witches - Roughlee’s witch connection goes right back to the beginning of the 17th Century. Pendle Hill towers 1,831ft above the region and used to be a beacon hill at the time of the Spanish Armada and is now a magnet for walkers and cyclists. Dam Head Barn, the Studio and the luxurious Blacksmith’s Cottage make a perfect place for a short break or longer holiday (for groups and individuals) to explore Pendle, the Forest of Bowland (AONB), and the diverse leisure and cultural activities on offer in wonderful rural Lancashire. We aim to offer the best possible guest experience. We have a rural location and lots of green space. We want our guests to feel the peace and the space in addition to the comfort of our ‘boutique’ style accommodation. Let it rain if it must! We have 3 Marquees, gorgeous teas sumptuous desserts, Pimms and Prosecco, a Brass Band, EQ Woman stall, plants, cakes, games and tombola. From 1.00 til 5 tomorrow come and join us and be merry!

Saturday's grand event is a SELL OUT!!! Thanks to all who have and are still working hard. We still have loads to do - afternoon teas, garden games, music rehearsals but here's hoping for the weather!

The scaffolding is up - Bernard in building the Marquee. Games are planned, cakes are baked, musicians booked and the store is getting daily deliveries of supplies and equipment. We have had some lovely weddings here in the past month of May - thanks to the Fence gate Inn for recommending us.
Night before accommodation for the Bride, Mother and Bridesmaids, accommodation on the wedding night for wider family and friends and also morning after wedding breakfasts to make the most of the event. The cars are spectacular from vintage rolls to VW camper vans!
