Can’t beat a good fresh coffee in the morning, all our guests get a locally roasted pack of our amazing coffee from all our places have their own blend, L’Etang (South West France) Clockhouse Cottage (Northumberland Coast) and Sundial Cottage (Northumberland National Park). This years first brood of swallows in Sundials Pizzeria, our annual visitors arrive in April normally have a couple of broods and then fly south in September the whole way to Namibia and South Africa via France, Spain, Morocco, Sahara, Angola…traveling about 200 miles a day…proper hard nuts.

Fettling the gardens today at the cottages….the orchard is full of life, but the laburnum is beautiful, the star of the week!

Our poor Mediterranean plants didn’t like the cold Northumberland winter so we’ve refreshed with some hardier plants and added a pear tree to the orchard today. Happy Change over day.
