One Cat Farm

One Cat Farm Simple luxury and outdoor living in handmade cabins, 3 miles from the beaches of Cardigan Bay in Wales. Warm and cosy all year round.

Stay in one of our handmade cabins for a slowed down, quiet break, immersed in nature. Spend your evenings next to the camp-fire or soaking in a wood fired hot tub. Spot shooting stars, otters and kingfishers from the comfort of your bed. Try wild swimming or take the boat out on the pond. Enjoy yoga on the jetty in the early morning, lie in a hammock with a book or just do……..nothing. Sleep in a

cabin cocoon hidden from the busy world. Re-connect with yourself and the simple pleasures of being in the wild. If you want to explore further then we are 5 minutes from the beaches of Cardigan Bay and half an hour from the Cambrian Mountains in West Wales. Everything we do is founded on the belief that we need to be kind to the planet, so your stay here will have minimum impact on the environment. And we promise there will ALWAYS be somewhere dry and toasty warm to snuggle up indoors, even in the dark depths of winter.

Give yourself gold star if you can spot the difference in the bath space ⭐️

We’ve been rather spoilt at One Cat Farm this summer. As well as the linen bedding in the Den, the lovely people at have gifted us some beautiful waffle towels for guests to use during their outdoor bath sessions.
Big and beautifully soft — exactly what you want to wrap yourself in after a long soak in a hot wood-fired bath, under a dark sky. ✨✨
We chose moss green to sit quietly amongst the natural surroundings, and I think they look right at home.
It’s a small detail, but I’m a firm believer that the little touches really matter and can make a stay here feel that bit more special. And this particular little touch has made getting out of the bath a real pleasure. 💚
Thank you Secret Linen Store 🙏🏻♥️.

We’ve finally had some rain over the last few days. And everything is looking fresher already. It’s like a magic spell has turned everything from parched yellow back to green.
And we can also enjoy the campfires again! 🔥.
I’m looking forward to evenings round the fire- the outdoor cooking, intimate chats in the dark and woolly jumpers. Watching the stars and warming my toes on the glow.
September here is looking quite busy but there is still plenty of space round the campfire for you in October if you need a little break in nature.

If you come to stay then this is what you’ll see when you arrive.
This is the reception area, formerly housing pigs but nowadays it’s a welcoming, comfy shared space for all the cabins to use. A little shop, local info and somewhere to sit quietly with a book or morning coffee.
It’s also handy spillover space for families with cabin fever. The kids tend to hang out up here in gangs in the school holidays. But in term time it returns to being a calm and tranquil outdoor space.
This is also where the swallows in my last post chose to make their home this year. We are very honoured to have them.
Swipe to the end to see the track. Normally a welcoming green little tunnel of trees and lush grass. It’s currently looking a bit baked. But on the upside, I haven’t had to cut the grass here all summer 😊.
September has filled up pretty quickly this last week but October will be lovely and we have plenty of space if you need a break. Might see you here!

This week we’ve waved goodbye to the swallow babies who’ve been loved by everyone who’s visited over the last few weeks. They sat in their nest demanding non stop food and pooing over anyone who risked walking underneath.
4 chicks successfully launched into the world. Not that I can take any credit- their mum and dad have been the most devoted and hardworking parents I’ve ever seen and this is their second batch of the summer!.
Swipe to see the last one to fledge maiden flight. I moved the cushion and off he went. And also some very excited snacking which made me chuckle every single time.
They now come back to roost on the wires at night but during the day we don’t see them. I can’t believe they will be flying off to Africa in only a few weeks time!
Come back again next year!

Morning at the Den cabin~ tea in bed, a long lazy outdoors breakfast and a visit from one of the cats. 🐈‍⬛
This is Peggy Marmite in case you were wondering. And yes, he does want to go in and get into that bed with you. He’d coordinate so nicely with those linen sheets!
But will you let him?

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious housekeeper to join our friendly One Cat Farm team.
Our cabins are set within a beautiful outdoor environment, so you will need to be comfortable working outside in all kinds of Welsh weather and enjoy walking. This is an important part of the role, as you will be walking between our cabins and facilities throughout your working day.
The role will primarily involve cleaning and preparing cabins and guest facilities to a very high standard. Our guests have high expectations, and we take great pride in meeting them.
This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday & Fridays including bank holidays and all school holidays throughout the year.
Own transport essential as we are in a remote location.
For more info and application details please see the link in bio.
