🌊🏆 New Quay takes the crown!

It’s officially been named Wales’s best coastal town and looking at that view, you can see why! 😍☀️

Beautiful beaches, stunning coastline and plenty of Welsh charm. 🏖️💙

Well deserved… or is there somewhere else you’d put at No.1? 👀👇

It was a bit grey and damp this morning here in New Quay but I thought I’d share some of the bunting and flags that have been put up ready for the Regatta which starts tomorrow - it’s so nice to see! And still plenty of people out and about enjoying the cooler weather today too!

⭐ POLITE NOTICE ⭐
Today we watched the dolphins from the small pier in New Quay again which is always amazing but unfortunately a number of swimmers, paddlers and kayaks all lined up very close watching and moving closer to the dolphins every time they surfaced, getting as close to them as possible each time. At one point there was maybe 1 metre max between them.

The Marine Code is there to protect the wildlife and also to keep people safe. You should keep 100 metres away from all marine mammals. If you stop to watch, enjoy their company for a maximum time of 10 minutes. Never approach directly.

The people only moved away after the Dolphin Spotting Boat trips made a statement over a loudspeaker from one of their boats. The lifeguards have to concentrate on the swimming area which was right next to where all this happened.
