Water's Edge

Water's Edge Relax in this beautiful self-catering house, New Quay, Wales. Stunning views to beach and bay. 3 minute walk to the beach. Dog friendly. Open all year.

Set in the small, vibrant seaside town of New Quay (West Wales), in the heart of Cardigan Bay, Water’s Edge sleeps 7 people and has stunning views over the sparkling blue waters from almost every room, whilst being only a 3 minute stroll to the blue-flag beach. New Quay – ‘Cei Newydd’, with its picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clings to the sides of the hills rising above Cardigan Bay on

the coast of West Wales. New Quay is just 35 minutes north of Cardigan, 40 minutes south of Aberystwyth, and is the perfect location to explore the beautiful towns and beaches of Cardigan Bay, coastal walks, and inland scenery; or alternatively spend the time in New Quay where sailing, fishing and water sports are the main activities, or merely lazing away the day building sandcastles and eating ice-creams! Completely renovated and re-furbished in 2012, Water’s Edge has everything that you would expect in a 4-star property – from toys for the children to an Ipod docking station; from crisp white bed-linen to soft, fluffy blankets; fully equipped kitchen from baking tins to blender! Parking and gardens are a premium in New Quay, so we’re luck to have both here! Children are extremely welcome: there is a travel cot and high-chair available and the garden is fenced for the safety of the children. Dogs are welcome (maximum of 2) and they will have hours of fun frolicking along the beach and in the sea, as well as the coastal path which extends to either end of the Welsh coastline. Bookings run from Friday to Friday allowing you to book for a whole week and then return refreshed for a whole weekend at home, or merely take a long-weekend (Friday to Monday) – we aim to be as flexible as possible. On your arrival you can expect a warm welcome with Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine beckoning! Why I chose Water’s Edge in Wales:
I used to visit New Quay as a child and fell in love with it again in 2007 when my husband and I stayed there with our two very small children; we thought it the perfect place to holiday, creating years of wonderful memories for us and for the kids. In 2011 we found the ideal house set at the end of a tiny lane, namely Water’s Edge, and after 6 months of extensive refurbishment and renovations we have created a true home-from-home and have been awarded a 4-star rating by VisitWales.

Well this says it all! New Quay really is a beautiful place to holiday!

A beautiful town free from the hustle and bustle of some of Wales' busiest coastlines has been named the best seaside town in the whole of Great Britain 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

In a roundup of the best seaside towns in the UK, New Quay in Ceredigion came in at number one 🏅

"New Quay is a small but buzzy town, yet not completely overrun with tourists, so it’s a happy medium for those who seek relaxation but not isolation," the judges said.

Also making the top 10 was Tenby and Barmouth 🌊❤️
