A trip to Buttermere last Sunday. We left Hill Crest which was shrouded in mist . As we reached Honister Pass the mist had nearly gone. What a spectacular drive through the pass a with the blue skies and pockets of mist, arriving at Buttermere with blue skies. Such a stunning place! I’ve sent many guests but not been and walked round the lake ever.
I couldn’t stop taking photos as we walked round the Lake. So, sorry for sooo many pictures! 🙈😀

Ambleside Christmas Lights switch on is the highlight in the Lake Districts autumn calendar, this year its on Saturday 15th November and you can still book our apartment for the weekend (Fri - Mon). The Lakes Escape apartment has a great vantage point over the start of the lantern procession and you can watch Santa go by on his sleigh.

My visitors told me about a rare moth to this area which they saw on my flowers when they arrived the other afternoon. This evening I was in front of these flowers talking to my guests and amazingly it came back to the same flowers.
A hummingbird Hawk moth. What an unusual creature. A birds body with with butterfly wings. It was fascinating to watch it taking the pollen! My visits tonight had their phone and managed to capture a picture!
