We are a family owned and run cottage who pride ourselves in providing a quality cottage and service at a sensible price. Woodside's OAK BEAMS and window seats within its thick walls, make the spacious lounge with its fabulous INGLENOOK FIREPLACE and LOG BURNER cosy for nights in with a bottle of wine, whilst the romantic master bedroom with Egyptian cotton sheets, designer fabrics and luxury ensuite is a haven after a hard days sightseeing. All bedrooms have designer fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedding. Woodside is a hideaway of PEACE AND QUIET superbly well equipped,it's an ideal base,many of the attractions can be reached on foot, you can forget the car!.The garden is a real SUN TRAP and wonderful for eating alfresco. We have free WiFi.and there's private parking for 2 cars with visitor parking nearby. The LCD TV has SKY HD, there's a DVD, CD player with ipod docking etc. The master bedroom has a power shower in the en-suite whilst in the family bathroom you can enjoy a power shower or a long leisurly soak in a contempory setting. Woodside's location is fabulous being so central and within walking distance of Lake Windermere.There's a file of 'local walks', some right from the front door. It is a wonderful area for DOGS with walks from the door and plenty of fields, footpaths etc. 20 GEOCACHES within 2 mile. The garden has seating for 6 and whilst you sit and enjoy the peace and quiet all you can hear are the sounds of the nearby stream and birdsong. The view from the garden is of the distant mountains across the wooded valley.The garden is child and pet safe. Woodside is dog friendly ,wood and tiled floors on the ground floor. FELL VIEW is our other cottage and is near Cartmel . Fell View is a beautiful home from home, superbly well equipped, furnished with quality oak furniture ,Sanderson fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedding which is ideal for couples and families alike, in the village of Allithwaite. Fell View is dog friendly and we welocme dogs for free. Fell View is walking distance to an excellent dog friendly pub, The Pheasant to walk to which serves terrific home cooked food by roaring log fires in the Winter. There’s a tennis court, children’s playground, village orchard and “The Lantern”, a charity shop. The village has everything you could possibly need. Nearby is Cartmel :- historic Priory, antique and craft shops, traditional pubs and Michelin starred L’Enclume. Rest and relaxation is the order of the day and our large master bedroom has been luxuriously fitted out with TV, contemporary oak furniture, designer fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedding for that pampering feeling – it can be configured for either two single beds or a SUPER KING SIZE bed. We also have a guest bed for a fifth person. You’re sure to enjoy waking up in such surroundings and seeing the view from the bedroom window toward the coast and the nearby fells and hear the sound of bird song in our cottage garden and sheep in the fields. What could be better? And in our double bedroom there is a quality Sealy bed, again with designer furnishings and Egyptian cotton sheets. In our spacious lounge we have a large flat screen TV (37 inch)which has Freeview. There is a DVD player,CD player and CD’s, board games, books etc. everything you could possibly need after a hard days site seeing in the Lakes. Wi Fi is available free of charge.
