Just wishing everyone a happy Easter Day. New beginnings, new dawn what will this year bring? So different from what any of us have experienced in our lives. Nature continues to unfold in all her glory all around here in pembrokeshire and where you are too. Just giving you a peak of the little easter decorations steeple view usually provides for guests. This year no guests, so, instead, little nests for all the single neighbours currently self isolating - as you can see a trip down memeory lane with some Innocent child friendly treats. Happy new beginnings, happy reflections and happy dreaming

R.I.P Mike Radley Master Baker of Queens Bakery Cardigan. It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of the mater baker of Cardigan. Returning recently from holiday he died unexpectedly of a heart attack. The bakery is closed for the time being and we send healing thoughts at this sad and difficult time. Queens Bakery brad has been featured prominently in several posts as the tastiness of the bread is so frequently commented on by Guests of Steeple View. Below are photos of Mike Radley, togged in a black suit and bowler hat batton aloof leading the parade of stallions lst April on Barley Saturday. The annual celebration of the final sowing of seed in anticipation of the coming harvest. as other festivities around the world this jolly gathering will not be taking place. Although no doubt the farmes have been allowed to continue to sow their seeds to provide for our daily bread. I am sure the splendid stallions will miss displaying the impressive credentials to the appreciative crows so too will the white donkey, who always draws the loudest applause miss his annual strut along the main street.

Feels like the pause button has been pressed. Sudden bust of glorious sunshine over the equinox that twice yearly oppostunity to balance, for nature to reset. Perhaps we too, for many no work, no income and for others no home. For decades corporations have been in the driving seat of society, where have they taken us? Do they care? Are they kind? Are they kind to you, to your friend to nature and her nations? Why the questions? Everybody is taking stock right now, bcause we all have arrived in a situation where we have to. On tthe first day of the equinox this popped up on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpQYsk-8dWg. A film I had always intended to watch. Yes we know it all, but do we really? I don't beleve in coincidence, just synchronicity. We are still all together in that strange time of pause, pause to balance, pause to take stock, pause to reflect. A timely prod came my way so here it is to share.

Yet more praise for the glorious wild garlic which is so abundant here in \North Pembrokeshire. A fantastic blood tonic and of course growing at this time of year to support us all with our inner spring cleanse. Just a few ideas PIzza toped with wild garlic instead of rocket, Spicy sweet potato soup with wild garlic, the cheese and wild garlic sandwich and my favourite avocado sandwich, of course all made with North Pembrokeshire's very own master baker, Queens Bakery's barley bread. Life couldn't be better

Can you find Leo? Totally camouflaged, Steeple View's little pet Tibetan mountain lion dog posing as a lion on Carn Enoch, a prominant cromlech looking out over the sea to Ireland, 10 minute's drive away or a two our stride out from the front door.
