Dating back to 1180 and starting life as a Cistercian Monastery, it later became a Nunnery, private residence and since 1996, this beautiful building and its secluded grounds have been home to the Priory Hotel and Restaurant. We want your stay with us to be relaxing, enjoyable and focused on fantastic food. The Priory is the perfect setting to unwind, enjoy the best of locally sourced cuisine, and have a truly memorable stay in the historic town of Caerleon.

Yesterday we brought a taste of Catalunya to Caerleon 🇪🇸
Last year we were lucky enough to visit the vineyards of Raventós i Blanc and Can Sumoi and we’ve been itching to do an event with these producers ever since. Having met the makers and families behind their beautiful wines, they really are a pleasure to pour and to tell their story.

We served up a feast featuring lamb cooked over fire on the Asado cross, with Bodega Head Chef leading the pass. Special thanks to Simon Awdry and Liberty Wines as well as Nicky Pendry for bringing the tunes!

It was our last wine dinner of the summer series at The Priory and we loved it! Thank you to all of our guests for making it a special one. Definitely on the agenda for next year 🔥
