The Isle of Wight Asian Hornet Team are an incredible group of volunteers who work tirelessly to protect our island from Asian Hornets — helping to safeguard our precious biodiversity, wildlife and, of course, our honeybees. 🐝❤️

This is something I NEED you all to do for me. 🙏

Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000).

A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.

🔥 Important Fire Safety Update🔥

Due to the current period of extremely dry weather, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to ban all fire pits and solid fuel BBQs at Mill Meadows Campsite until further notice.

This decision has been made in the interests of everyone’s safety and to help protect our guests, neighbouring properties and the surrounding countryside from the risk of fire.

Gas BBQs are still permitted, provided they are raised off the ground at all times.

For added safety;

Please familiarise yourselves on arrival with the locations of fire and water points

Please do not throw cigarette ends onto the ground. Even if they appear to be extinguished, they can still ignite dry grass. Please ensure all cigarette ends are fully extinguished and disposed of responsibly.

Please observe a minimum 2-metre firebreak between vehicles, caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents where applicable.
A 3-metre emergency access route must also be kept clear at all times to allow access for emergency vehicles if required.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep Mill Meadows a safe place for everyone to enjoy.

Apologies for not providing any further updates regarding Festival 2027 bookings. As no additional pitches became available, there simply wasn’t anything new to update.

Mill Meadows is a small campsite, and many of our regular campers have been staying here for over 10 years, including under the previous owners. As the new owners, we made the decision to offer those loyal customers the opportunity to book first.

We appreciate that not everyone will agree with that decision, but we run Mill Meadows as a business, and these are the decisions we have to make. With a limited number of pitches available, it was never going to be possible to accommodate everyone.

It’s been a very full-on couple of weeks managing hundreds of enquiries, and I’ve done my best to be as fair and transparent as possible. Thank you to everyone for your interest, support and understanding.
