A little wallet for treasures. A sketchbook for marks. Your own pen, ready to notice the details.

These are some of the things you’ll have with you on my Autumn Coastal Creative Day. A day of gathering, noticing and making.

We’ll spend the morning by the Nevern estuary and Parrog, collecting little impressions of the coast: the colours, textures, shapes and movement that catch your eye. Perhaps a feather, a shell, a fragment of colour, or simply a mark that says something about the place.

Then we’ll bring our collections back to the studio and use them as inspiration for an abstract painting with inks, acrylics and lots of experimenting.

No drawing skills needed. Just a willingness to slow down, look closely and see what happens when you play.
