Last minute cancellation for next week; Saturday 8th May (5pm) - Saturday 15th May (10am). One minute walk to the beach (dog friendly all year round) with huge sand dunes. Sleeps six people and a well behaved dog or two. Just released so book fast before it goes!

⚠️Flooding is expected - immediate action required ⚠️

Environment Agency who are urging people that immediate action is required.

After flood alerts warnings have now been issued as river levels swell following torrential rain.
Three have been issued for the southern coastline by the Environment AGENCY.

South Cornwall coast at Mounts Bay, seafront properties
South Cornwall Coast from Lands End to Lizard Point excluding Mounts Bay
South Cornwall Coast from Lizard Point to Gribbin Head excluding Truro City

Flooding is expected over the high tide on Thursday evening, 20th August. High Spring tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding on Thursday evening. Flooding of low lying or exposed locations is also possible on Thursday and Friday. High water at Newlyn on Thursday evening is at 18:38. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide. Times of high water will vary along the coast. Storm Ellen is forecast to bring force 7 Southerly winds and large waves, causing tides to be higher than predicted, with wave overtopping and sea spray causing flooding to seafront properties in Mounts Bay. High numbers of visitors in locations that may flood brings an increased risk. People are advised to avoid low lying and exposed coastal areas

We're open again and welcomed our first guests of the season last Saturday. Hopefully we can stay open and all of our guests can enjoy their holidays at Romany Rye.

The beautiful Holywell Beach is a one minute walk away! It has a fresh water stream that runs down to the sea, a perfect place to wash off sandy feet and paws on the way home.
