🔥 Important Guest Update 🔥

Following the Severe Alert issued by the UK Government due to the unprecedented wildfire risk, our wood-fired hot tub
cannot be heated until conditions improve.

We know this is a big part of the glamping experience, and we’re sorry for the disappointment. However safety has to come first — even a small fire or ember can pose a serious risk in these conditions.

This is especially important after a wildfire spread into a neighbouring field here just days ago, resulting in an evacuation. We’ve seen first-hand how quickly these fires can spread.

The good news: our hot tub can still be enjoyed as a refreshing cold dip

Thank you for understanding and for helping us support the fire service, protect our beautiful surroundings and keep our local community safe.

🔥 A very different kind of afternoon at Hidden Glamping…

What started with one tiny spark in a nearby field quickly became a very real reminder of how close wildfires can come. Within half an hour, flames, thick smoke and the sound of crackling fire had us facing a full evacuation.

Our little corner of Cornwall is usually all about peaceful mornings, birdsong, starry skies and escaping the everyday — yesterday was certainly a little different!

We are incredibly grateful to the fire brigade who acted so swiftly to keep our community, our guests and our homes safe and our brave neighbour for his help creating a fire break with his digger ❤️

Thankfully, we were incredibly lucky and, as I write this this morning, you’d hardly know anything had happened. The air is fresh, the sun is shining and Hidden Glamping is still here.

It’s also a timely reminder that whilst we adore this glorious warm weather, the countryside is extremely dry and fires can spread frighteningly quickly. Please take extra care when enjoying the outdoors.

To everyone who checked in, offered help or sent messages — thank you. Our little community has been amazing.

And after yesterday’s drama, I think we’ve all earned a much quieter day!
