Pensalda Guest House Welcome to our family owned 3 star, 5 star rated bed and breakfast in Newquay, Cornwall, UK. We also have free fast WiFi and free parking. No stag or hen groups.

Pensalda Guest House is a small, non smoking, family run bed and breakfast near popular Porth beach in Newquay. We are open March to November and our busiest months are July and August. We offer comfortable modern rooms which have all been recently renovated, some with pallet wood features, especially our family cabin rooms which are set in our lovely garden area. Breakfast is a non cooked buffet

selection or full English breakfasts are available for an extra charge. We are only a short walk away from Newquay Zoo, leisure centre and the beautiful Trenance valley with its park, gardens and boating lake. Porth beach is a 10 minute walk down the hill which is an accessible beach with a pub and is perfect for body boarding, sunbathing and walks over the headland with its Bronze age defences and coastal paths beyond. Many other beaches and the town centre are a 20 minute walk away. We are on a main bus route to many destinations including Truro, Padstow, St Ives, Boardmasters Festival site (August), St Austell and the Eden Project. The hotel opposite has public access to their swimming pool and bar for a daily charge and there is also a day spa if you fancy a treat a few doors away. There are many places to eat nearby such as the Mermaid pub on Porth beach, Zamans Indian Cuisine a few minutes up the road, Gwenna tea house by Porth beach, Garden Cafe and Lakeside restaurant in Trenance gardens 15 mins walk away or a 5 min drive. If you would like something to do away from the Boardmasters crowds then why not visit Trenance park and gardens and the lovely Little Western Railway! Newquay Zoo is around the corner as well as a play park, boating lake, swimming baths, mini golf and cafés.

🚨 Boardmasters update 🚨

We’ve seen numerous reports online telling people to avoid Newquay due to the festival and the volume of traffic.
Whilst this is true for Watergate bay and the east side of Newquay, our side at Trenance park and the A3075 is quiet.

There have even had people messaging us asking if we are closing again over boardmasters. We have never closed due to the festival and never will.

In previous years there has been a skateboarding event at the skate park but this isn’t even happening this year.

All the businesses are still open in the park so if you are looking for somewhere to go to avoid the crowd that comes with Boardmasters be sure to head down to the park. Mornings are particularly quiet in the play area this week.
