A heartfelt message from me, Shea.
After a sleepless night, I feel compelled to write this.
Let’s support small businesses, not tear them down.
Yesterday, an untrue and negative post about Sushea was shared in a local Facebook group. While it has since been removed, the damage was already done. Reading it hurt—but what hurt even more were the many comments that followed, made by people who didn’t know the full story. That it was even approved in a community group without verification is a reminder of how quickly misinformation can spread.
Behind every small business is a person—often a family—working tirelessly to create something special, to serve their community, and to provide for their loved ones. Small businesses are built on passion, dedication, and a whole lot of heart.
Before jumping to conclusions or adding to negativity, can we take a moment to consider the impact? A careless comment or an unfair accusation can deeply affect not just a business, but also someone’s livelihood and mental well-being. If there’s ever a concern, why not reach out directly to the business first? A conversation can often clear up misunderstandings far better than a public post ever could.
The world needs more kindness, more support, and more connection. Let’s lift each other up, celebrate the amazing small businesses that bring so much to our lives, and choose community over division.
