Our Intermediate Coaching Camps are designed for surfers who want to make the most of every session—even if they only get to surf a handful of times each year.

Through structured coaching, video analysis and movement training, you’ll develop a clearer understanding of your surfing, identify what’s holding you back and leave with a plan you can continue applying at home.

During the week you’ll learn how to:
🎥 Analyse your own surfing
🌊 Read surf forecasts and choose the right conditions
🏄 Improve positioning, wave selection and technique
🤸 Build better movement patterns on land
📈 Turn every surf into purposeful practice

Plus you’ll enjoy boutique accommodation, healthy breakfasts, a sauna sessions and a welcoming community of like-minded surfers.

What started as a pile of timber is now one of our favourite spots at Base.

Built board by board, with plenty of help along the way, our new sauna is ready for 2026.

The perfect place to warm up after a cold-water surf, recover for the next session, and slow things down for a while.

Sauna sessions are now included on every Base Surf Lodge camp in 2026.

The ocean threw everything at us this week — wind, swell, sunshine, rain, and plenty of adventure.

Through changing conditions, shared meals, sauna sessions, and time in the water, another incredible group came together to embrace it all. That’s what Base is really about: stepping outside your comfort zone, connecting with great people, and enjoying Mother Nature.
