Our iconic AA four-star hotel blends historic, classic glamour with modern luxury. The hotel was home to the world's biggest band The Beatles whilst they filmed their now-iconic movie The Magical Mystery Tour in 1967. As well as the famous four staying at the hotel, several of the film's scenes were shot on location in and around the grounds of the hotel. Packed with stunning original features, from our glamourous marbled entrance to our historic sweeping staircase and chandeliers. The hotel has worked hard to preserve its history and charm, whilst blending in a touch of modern luxury. Every single room has a sea view. A little piece of Newquay history from 16th February 1949. ✨

77 years ago, Newquay gave a grand civic welcome to London’s famous flower girl, Mrs Mary Staplehurst. Local residents and council officials greeted her at Newquay Railway Station before a procession led her straight to our doors here at The Atlantic as part of a national tour.

Mary was hosted in style as a guest of Newquay Council and the Newquay Hotels Association, staying in a luxurious 30-guinea suite with us.
