We have 3 beaches in walking distance all accessed via public footpaths at the foot of the land. 1.25 miles, across the fields and headland is Watergate bay, (with good restaurants, surf shops and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen). 1 mile country walk from Porth Beach and Whipsiderry beach. From May 2014, we are planning art & craft workshops for those that are game to explore their untapped talents and have fun with us. It is with sadness north Cornwall has to let you know the special main Holy Well cave is no more..
We waited to get confirmation of the land slide.
But for all those lucky enough to have visited (that's Andy in the one shot) it is true and for all those who thought " We'll do it next holiday".. its a reminder that we have to grab the moment and not always wait for the perfect time. Its also a reminder that the cliff edge is really dangerous when we get extreme dry and then heavy rain.

First of our putting nature first..most wonderful season for butterflies..I've meditated to their vision.. dry weather has helped and our buddleia bushes and leaving the glamping field wild flowers and grasses long has created butterfly walks for weeks now. Just beautiful memories for everyone

In this age of Google and Ai.. it is still nice to have a beautiful travel book. If you love our vibe then I can really recommend this book.
About 7 years ago the team of 3 ( Alexandra Gossink, Geert-Jan Middelkoop, Gail Bennie) toured stayed with us as paying guests.. what we didn't know was they were compiling a cool, independent surf and road-trip guidebook highlighting local food, cozy seaside places to sleep, surf spots, and hidden coastal gems.
We knew we had been featured only after it came out.. we were never asked for a penny in advertising ... which demonstrates that every suggestion in there is genuine.. not a collection of sponsoring businesses which so often happens.
Some recent visitors from France reminded me of this when they stayed this week. So if you need a lovely present for someone or yourself here is a suggestion ..... Enjoy the summer everyone.

Summer Solstice 2026 🌞 Sun, Soul, Sea 〰️

Thank you to everyone who came this weekend. We had SUCH a wonderful time hosting this annual Solstice gathering. This years featured hilarious sea swims, soulful music, foraging, massages, soundbathing, nourishment, art, cocoa ceremony, yoga, breathwork and intention setting and more. Moments of stillness, moments of laughter, and lifelong memories made beneath the longest day of the year.
