Nestling below the majestic Haytor Rocks, The Rock Inn has been offering travellers a warm welcome, good food and shelter since its foundations as a coaching inn in the mid-eighteenth century. As a family-owned traditional country inn, we at the Rock Inn pride ourselves on providing a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and service with a personal touch to ensure a fulfilling a memorable experience to both diners and hotel guests alike. The Inn has long been renowned for the standard if its food, holding one AA rosette for the last 20 years and recently being awarded 2 Rosettes for culinary excellence. We are fortunate that Devon’s rich supply of top-quality produce is right on our doorstep (including the South-West’s wonderful choice of cheese, and wine from local vineyards). Delivered daily to our chefs, food is skilfully prepared with emphasis placed on freshness, taste and seasonality. Nine very comfortable and well-appointed guests bedrooms await the weary traveller, each with bath or shower room en-suite, colour TV, direct-dial telephone, free wifi and beverage tray. Some are equipped with an interesting historical curio ‘mini bar’. All bedrooms are named after past Grand National winners – a tradition started in 1920.

Here our team will match up some of the superb w**es we've showcased during the year in our 'W**e of the Month' series with some fantastic dishes from our talented kitchen 👊

Hosted in-house by our very own Oliver Graves .. where Oliver will talk through all the w**es and pairings. This promises to be a laid-back, interesting and fun evening!

We are offering a special rate on all rooms .. (so no need to drive) 😉 please contact us asap as we only have 9 rooms!!
