You might have heard us also call it a **๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ**โฆ but what actually happens when you come along?
Well, imagine stepping back to a time when an evening of entertainment meant **good music, meeting people, dancing, laughing and having fun together** โ rather than sitting looking at a screen! ๐ต๐
๐ถ A ceilidh is a **lively, high-energy social folk dance**, featuring a live acoustic band and a caller who guides everyone through the steps.
And our wonderful caller **๐ฃ๐ฎ๐บ** will be there to guide you through every move โ so you don't need to know a single dance before you arrive!
You can come onto the dance floor **with or without a dance partner**. Pam will help pair up anyone who comes along on their own, then all you need to do is listen, follow the person in front of you and **๐๐ข๐๐ก ๐๐ก!**
There are no complicated routines to learn and absolutely no need to be an expert dancer.
In fact, the best bit is when everyone gets it slightly wrong! ๐
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ง'๐ฆ ๐๐๐ก๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ!
Children can join in too โ dancing with Mum and Dad, grandparents, friends or whoever they find themselves next to.
There's something wonderfully infectious about seeing **children and adults all dancing together**, laughing when they go the wrong way and having another go!
And where are we doing all this?
