Today, with permission from the family, we want to let our Creebridge friends & family know that one of our own has gained her wings in the last few weeks. So with a very heavy heart and many, many tears shed we let you know that Liz Wright (one of our Duty Managers for the last 20 years) has become a bright, shining star in the sky.
She brightened every room she walked into. Her smile, laughter and warmth were infectious and no matter how difficult the day was she somehow made every shift lighter and filled it with joy and laughter. Often caught having a wee jig in the bar and bursting into song with 'TELL ME MA WHEN I GO HOME'.
She was always there with a listening ear ready to offer comfort, support or simply sit with you when you needed someone. Alternatively, in true Liz fashion, she'd always threaten to beat anyone up who had upset you! She made everyone feel safe, valued and looked after. If something went wrong there was never any need to panic because she always had 'Plan B'.
She brought people together, lifted our spirits and left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to work with her. The void she leaves behind is immeasurable, and her absence here is felt every single day. No one could ever replace the kindness, strength, humour and love that she gave so freely and unconditionally.
We will miss her more than words can ever truly express but she will forever remain a part of our team, our lives and our hearts. She will always be a part of the Creebridge House Hotel.

Dear Liz,
Keep the lights on, the music playing and the rose wine chilling. Until we meet again, dear friend, for a sherbet or two, a wee jig and a good old chin wag.
With love always,
Team Creebridge x
