I can’t promise you will be as lucky as we were yesterday seeing these guys in the Irish Sea but our two local dolphins in Strangford Lough are still popping their little noses up regularly.
Always worth a visit to the Ards Peninsula.

We are ready to reopen after our little makeover, all our walls have been repainted in slightly darker shades to help keep them clean. The carpets have had a shampoo to freshen them up and all our bedding has been replaced including lovely luxurious pillows and quilts. I even added a few little plants (not real, as real plants come to me to die!) some updated kitchen utensils complete the picture.
Today we have our scheduled NI Tourism inspection, completed every 4 years on all holiday lets in NI.
We are constantly reinvesting in our properties to make them the best they can be and ensure you have a home from home stay so let’s hope our inspection goes well. 🤞

The Loft Cottage hosted its first guests in 2021 and 5 years later it is still our most popular property. We have closed our calendar for the next two weeks to refresh all the paintwork and carpets etc, stay tuned for the photos of our newly painted beautiful cottage.
We are always striving to make our properties the ultimate getaway and home from home on the stunning Ards Peninsula.

Mount Stewart is delighted be to welcoming the BBC Winterwatch team for their first ever broadcast from Northern Ireland. In June 2025 Iolo Williams from the Springwatch team got to know the historic Mount Stewart estate over four very rainy days and this January the whole team including hosts Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams will be broadcasting live for 4 nature packed nights.
