The Loft Cottage hosted its first guests in 2021 and 5 years later it is still our most popular property. We have closed our calendar for the next two weeks to refresh all the paintwork and carpets etc, stay tuned for the photos of our newly painted beautiful cottage.
We are always striving to make our properties the ultimate getaway and home from home on the stunning Ards Peninsula.

Don’t forget to tune into BBC2 at 7pm for Winter Watch. Looking forward to seeing Strangford Lough and Mount Stewart in all its splendour.

Mount Stewart is delighted be to welcoming the BBC Winterwatch team for their first ever broadcast from Northern Ireland. In June 2025 Iolo Williams from the Springwatch team got to know the historic Mount Stewart estate over four very rainy days and this January the whole team including hosts Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams will be broadcasting live for 4 nature packed nights.

⛳️This will mean we will only have tee times available from 2pm- Spectators are welcome to come watch the action. 👀

We have had an amazing summer filled with new visitors and old faithfuls from all over the world, our autumn is also turning out to be just as busy as the summer months and today we received another 5 star review to add to the previous 165! I must be doing something right.

I had to nip to Portavogie this morning and preparations were well underway for the yearly Tide and Turf event. A great family day out and even better it’s FREE. Be sure to visit if you’re in the area.
