Really busy week, but still had the chance to look at Google maps - amazed to see that mother goose is alive and well and living just off shore on Strangford - right alongside Shoreline at Mount Stewart! It's no wonder that so many Brent and Canada geese land here and feed off shore!

More fantastic sunsets over the last few days. The Brent Geese are speckled across the mud flats and highlighted by the setting sun.

The Brent Geese have well and truly arrived at the end of our garden! Hundreds of these geese can be seen - and heard - right up close. At low tide the geese are seen feeding on the mud flats of Strangford Lough. All you bird watchers out there would be in paradise if you stayed here with the unrivaled and uninterrupted views of the lough right from your room window, Why not enjoy a picnic on the deck and just take in the breathtaking display, As well as the light bellied Brent geese, today you can see egrets, swans, oyster catchers, grey heron, grey lag geese and, we are reliably informed by local wild life expert, Dot, even a wheatear. Fantastic!

Little Benji with his best friend - Brown Bear. He has really enjoyed cuddling up to all of our super guests in recent months!!!
