Well, there's good news and not so good! The not so good is that after three failed attempts at selling Pebbles Holiday Chalet over the past couple of years, that all went to the wire and failed for different reasons (none of which was anything to do with the chalet), we have decided to put Pebbles back on the holiday rental map for at least another year. So we have spruced the place up, given it a lick of paint, new taps, new shower, sanded and varnished the kitchen worktops and we're all good to go from the 24th June – we've decided on a flat rate of £80 a night to include cleaning, linen and towels (min stay 3 nights) and we can still offer a 15% discount off Red Funnel crossings from Southampton to Cowes. If you're interested in a short (or longer) break in the lovely time warp that is the Isle of Wight, what lovelier time of year to come than now?

It's great to know that we are able to open for business again and already we have had a couple of bookings since the news of the restrictions being lifted. Over the next couple of days we will be working hard to deep clean Pebbles in readiness for its first guests in a week or so's time, and to put in place extra precautions and guidance on staying safe on your trip. It won't mean many changes, just the same sensible stuff that we've all now become used to doing in our daily lives.

Worth seeing!

30-40 Bottlenose Dolphins were spotted off the south coast of the Isle of Wight yesterday and as they danced in the wash of a fishing boat, this great footage was captured by Ed Blake of Ventnor Haven Fishery.
