Our wonderful recent guests left behind the kindest thank-you gifts: a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, some absurdly delicious chocolates, and even a book by my absolute hero, Yotam Ottolenghi! 📖 (Yes, I definitely gasped.)
Hosting is always a joy, but it truly never ceases to amaze me when people take the time out of their busy schedules to leave a token of appreciation like this. It completely warms my heart.

Some days, everything runs like clockwork. Other days, the plate on top of the stack decides to choose violence. 🍳💥
Picture this: a full table of 8 hungry folks eagerly waiting on breakfast, I walk out proud with the first 3 plates... and the top plate decides to take a literal leap of faith. Straight to the floor. Straight to the wall.
If you were sitting nearby today, thanks for sharing a laugh with me while I grabbed the mop. To our regulars—you know this isn’t the usual routine! 🤪

Today’s table is a fabulous mix of global stories and fantastic food. We’ve got guests visiting from Finland (here for the Bon Jovi concert! 🎸), partygoers over from Germany celebrating with friends, and Italian family out exploring the beauty of Scotland.

Finding my rhythm with reading lately, but this one completely stopped me in my tracks.
Just finished Found My Tribe by Ruth Fitzmaurice. What an extraordinary, heartbreaking, yet beautifully uplifting read. Her connection to the sea and the quiet strength of community hit so close to home.
It’s been lovely spending more time with my nose in a book lately, and I’ve just left my copy on the bookshelf for guests at Seaholm Bed & Breakfast. If you’re staying with us soon, do pick it up!

Fresh from the oven this morning! 🥖✨
There is nothing quite like the smell of warm, homemade sourdough ciabatta filling the kitchen to start the day. Today’s batch has an extra-special job: fueling our wonderful group of Swedish golfers before they head out for their final round and journey home. 🏌️‍♂️🇸🇪
