Spring is in the air (sometimes at least.) We are now open and ready for guests following our annual winter break.

The fireplace is ready for fires to warm you on the rainy and cold days but the daffodils are up and the tulips are all showing willingness to add their colours to the garden very soon.

We also have some special South African wines ready to go with your dinner by candlelight.

Well, as we approach the August bank holiday the garden is looking lovely, we’re going to have a full house of guests and looking forward to cooking some fun meals for them. Smoked salmon mousse, medallions of pork loin with a crust of Parmesan and lime, angel food cake with raspberry coulis, are just a few of the things on the menu for this weekend. Wishing you all a wonderful Bank Holiday.

Exciting news. Our garden room extension is complete and we have moved into it. Not only does it mean we don’t have navigate the two flights of stairs three or four times a day but it also means that we now have two more lovely rooms available to our guests. Well, the new garden bedroom addition is finally finished. This means we are able to add on two new family rooms at the top of the house. Both have lots of character. Well, in the next two days we will finish the main construction of the new garden en suite bedroom. Now all that is left to do is fitting the bathroom, decorating inside and out and landscaping.
