Handmade wood fired pizzas - From the Italian tomatoes in our sauce to the flour milled in Naples in our home-made dough we take pride in our pizzas. Our sauce is made fresh every day and we make the dough and proof it for around 30 hours for lighter bases. GF bases and vegan cheese available.

🚤 OUR AUGUST 45-MINUTE NARROWBOAT TRIPS START THIS WEDNESDAY! ☀️

Hop aboard Somersun for a lovely little trip along the beautiful Bridgwater & Taunton Canal.

And it’s not just a cruise…it’s an experience!

Enjoy 45 minutes on the water, experience going through the lock and then cruise gently along the canal before heading back to Somerset Boat Centre.

🚶‍♂️ TOWPATH TUESDAY

— Did you know you can walk through the Solar System without leaving Somerset? ☀️🪐

One of the more unusual things you'll discover along the Bridgwater & Taunton Canal is the Somerset Space Walk.

The Solar System is represented to a scale of 1:530,000,000, with the giant model of the Sun at Maunsel Lock.
From here, models of the planets are positioned along the towpath at their relative distances from the Sun.

And the scale really puts things into perspective — according to the information at the Sun, if the model continued as far as our nearest star, we'd need another 75,000 km of canal! 🤯

It's one of those features that can easily be overlooked if you're simply passing through, but it turns a walk along the canal into a journey through the Solar System.
