Not only do we have poetic guests, we have artistic guests too. This lovely feedback was adorned with the unmistakable silhouette of Ingleborough, a cheeky snail and the familiar floral artwork found in enRoot Cottage. Thank you. 🌷

Doesn't this cyclamen look at home in it's new surroundings!? (I probably won't leave it on the staircase though🫣).

We never take fabulous feedback for granted. To lean our guests have enjoyed their stay in enRoot Cottage is reward enough. But when our sense of fun is regifted back to us in the form of a poem, our work is truly done.

Thank you for this touching poem, written and left by our wonderful guests;

We've had such a lovely time,
I wanted to write you a little rhyme.

We've loved staying in your cottage full of snails,
Here in Ingleton, part of the Yorkshire Dales.

Thank you for your thoughtful touches;
The bread, milk and cakes we had in our clutches.

We've walked for miles, over stiles, enjoyed the waterfalls,
And beautifully built field walls.

Thanks for your hospitality Richard & Catherine, it's been fabulous.

💚

We genuinely put our hearts and souls into making enRoot Cottage a magical, comfortable and fun place to stay. Knowing our guests enjoyed their stay and have left heartfelt words in our Guest Book is reward enough. But it doesn't get much better than returning to an immaculately clean and tidy cottage, beautiful feedback AND a Victoria Sponge Cake as a 'Thank You.' What a treat. 🍰

Yesterday was a monumental day for the enRoot Cottage family. We finally crossed a very deep and dark void that's been lurking for years. We are now safely on the other side where the future is bright and exciting.

As Mark Twain said;

"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

Here's to our beautiful cottage and all our amazing guests who have become part of the enRoot adventure. 💜

🍾🥂🎉

It's a real honour to read how many guests read and enjoy the Metamorphosis book we wrote and designed about the cottage. It outlines and illustrates the adventure we all embarked upon when we became custodians of the desperately dilapidated enRoot Cottage.

We'll start sharing each page with our lovely followers and hope you'll all be able to read it in person one day (if you haven't already done so). 💚

We genuinely have the loveliest of guests! 🥰

Something a bit different this afternoon; we made soup from the hedgerow.

Who could have guessed that ground elder and nettle soup tasted so delicious. I can't believe we've never tried it before today.

Ground elder has become the bane of our lives. My motto now is;

If you can't beat it, eat it!! 💚

Awaiting the arrival of our new guests.
